Tommy says: “Cass and I talk a *LOT* about the nerdy stuff we love. Whether it's who we romanced in the latest sprawling RPG or why a scene from a particular TV episode reminds us of Dante's Inferno, we have always loved having deep (but mostly silly) discussions about the stuff we're into. And so, we created Distant Echoes where we could be as deep and as goofy as we'd like as we watch and rewatch some of our favorite episodes of Star Wars TV. Ultimately, our goal when we set out was always to just do something we enjoyed, be a couple of sillies, and create something positive together. So far I feel like we've accomplished that with each episode! Plus, we get to share our thoughts and learn new things about a fandom we both grew up loving.”

Derek B. Gayle is a professional writer and has a background performing in live theatre. As a kid, he spent much of his free time designing the seasonal schedule for his own imaginary TV network, which explains a lot. When he’s not podcasting, Derek keeps busy by exploring the woods in search of werewolves, playing D&D, digitizing old VHS tapes, watching tokusatsu, looking at pictures of Godzilla and Garfield, and cuddling with his cats.
