Rugrats, Lisa Frankenstein, Stardew Valley, Kirsten Dunst revisited and a King Ghidorah-sized amount of more

Check out what’s happening on the Glitterjaw pods in our Monthly Round-Up!

Gimmicks returned with a full-sized episode about a couple of pint-sized Rugrats. David and Derek were joined by TV writer Danielle Weisberg (The Simpsons, Krapopolis) to try and tackle this surreal (and sometimes all too real) episode, including the artistry of Rugrats, Nickelodeon's grunge and edge, how this episode reflects real-life infantilization in the workplace, and more!

Plus, they discussed Danielle’s trajectory as a writer, from being a Batman stand-in on Conan to writing award-nominated animated sitcom episodes!

Fear Coded: A Queer Horror Podcast dug into 2024’s Lisa Frankenstein from director Zelda Williams. The trio dissected the film, including its queer undertones, and talked everything from black comedy to 80s vibes, Lisa as a “final girl” to breaking gender normativity, and so much more.

Novel Gaming! moseyed back to the farm to talk Stardew Valley! In an effort to rotate their crops, Katie and Doug started brand-new files with the Expanded Mod! They discussed the ease of installation and, of course, their experience playing the game. Plus they checked in on what they’ve been reading, watching, and thinking about!

The Mixed Reviews celebrated their 150th episode by returning back to where it all began—Kirsten Dunst! In “Kirsten Dunst Redux,” Gavin and Louie covered everything from Interview With the Vampire to Civil War, Bring It On to The Power of the Dog, Drop Dead Gorgeous to Spider-Man!

Lee Carvallo’s Podding Challenge donned their crop tops and spandex as they took on Bart vs. The Juggernauts, The Simpsons and Acclaim’s answer to The American Gladiators. Derek and Tommy also talked a brief history of The American Gladiators and discussed their favorite athletic competition shows!

Skreeonk! stomped their way through time, crashing through Godzilla’s answer to Back to the Future, 1991’s Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. They also brought along Godzilla expert Jayce (@jblacksomething on Twitter) to help tackle Ghidorah’s Heisei era entrance. Of course, they discussed the film’s time travel elements, the Terminator-like android M-11, and so much more!

Distant Echoes: A Star Wars Podcast journeyed back to 1985 to cover the animated spinoff Star Wars: Droids! Beginning with the series premiere, Cass and Tommy discussed the history of the show, the animation company that created it and its companion show Star Wars: Ewoks to ABC, and the series connection to…Tony Danza and The Police?

Walloping Websnappers! wrapped up the Six Forgotten Warriors Saga from Spider-Man: The Animated Series with “The Price of Heroism” and boy were they disappointed! Derek and Doug gave their thoughts on one of the worst episodes of the series. Then, they discussed the also somewhat disappointing follow-up to their favorite standalone episode, “The Return of Hydro-Man, Part 1”!
